This website began as a personal website with another name back in 1998 and only consisted of 4 pages. Through various incarnations, it took on its present domain name in 2000 from a slang term used in mid-western Pennsylvania. The main thrust to create the site was as a platform to express myself and my interests along with a way to memorialize my pet, Q-Bert who passed away the previous year.
Through the creative and development process, four sections came into being, the main youns.com site, the memorial section, a Lucille Ball section and one focused on my ancestry. The website ran in a hosted environment out of my home until September 2005 when it was moved to a more permanent location with a real hosting facility that could handle the traffic.
This site was created and is maintained by only one person, not a corporation or a group of people. Out of my love for animals, the pet memorial section was created as a memorial to my Q-Bert and as a way for others to reach out and memorialize their pets as a way of dealing with the grief and loss. Being a huge Lucille Ball fan, the "Everything Lucy" site was one of the first websites on the internet that was devoted to Lucy and had all her TV Shows and complete career as a searchable resource. A Blog devoted exclusively to Lucille Ball as part of the "Everything Lucy" website was created in March 2005. Finally, the Ancestry site is a way for me to reach out to all known and unknown relatives and as a way to preserve all the historical data that I have collected and maintain on my family history.
Vic Ritchey
Vic was born and raised in South-Central Pennsylvania in a small village near the city of Altoona. Being creative all his life, he decided to attend college at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh studying Commercial Art, and this was the beginning of a life-long love for art.
After a few semesters in college, Vic decided to go into the U.S. Navy where he was a crew member aboard the USS Moosebrugger (DD980). This was one of his best experiences, traveling around the world and experiencing different cultures. Stationed in Charleston, South Carolina for four years, he was briefly married and divorced. He returned to Pennsylvania after the service only remaining there for several years before moving to Virginia, outside of Washington D.C. where he was a Graphic Artist for various non-profits. Although, an exciting place to live, his direction was to pursue other opportunities. Briefly living in Ohio, he eventually found his home in Boonton, New Jersey outside one of the greatest Art capitals in the world, New York City.
Currently, Vic is pursuing Fine Art, studying in the Visual Art curriculum at the County College of Morris. Besides his fine art, he also works at an Interactive Agency as a Web Designer in Boonton, NJ.

Triton
Born in Southern New Jersey on June 7, 1999, Triton came to live with us on September 15, 1999. He is a pure-bred, Jack Russell Terrior and he lives up to his reputation.
Spunky, fun-loving, energetic and playful; Triton always has a kiss for you, no matter if he knows you or not. His favorite toy is his ball, which he won't leave alone and can actually play catch. If his ball isn't around, he'll settle for sticks and even stones for you to throw (outside of course). Being a digger, he is always on a quest to find out what's inside the dirt and to bring you anything he may have found. When he's not enjoying a ball, his passtime is to watch TV. He'll begin barking before any animal may be seen in recognition to the tune on an advertisement. Animal Planet drives him up the wall, he'll even whine when he sees animated cartoon animals!
Falkor
Falkor, a pure-bred West Highland White Terrior was born on June 9, 1999, just two days after Triton. He was born in the hills of Pennsylvania, not far from State College. He came to live with us just a few days after Triton moved in on September 18, 1999.
A loving and sensitive dog, his personality is much like his masters. He makes the rules and you just have to live by his standards. Being very vocal, he'll speak to you when he wants your attention or just to say hello. He'll use his head as a pointer, throwing it in the direction of the treat jar! His favorite toy is his Bugs Bunny. He picked it out of my collectables and has been carrying it around as his baby ever since (with the tag still attached). Falkor is the endless roamer, being sure he gets to every corner of the allowed territory and crossing it only briefly to say hello to his neighbor-dog friend.
